Speed Dating is a romantic comedy that is very funny and clever throughout and has one of the best soundtracks heard for a long time. Support independent Irish film making and go see it. Rejected and despondent at his lack of success at speed dating he quickly becomes transfixed by a mysterious woman who frequents the bar he drinks in. To find out more about this mystery woman he decides to stalk her all in the name of research. But then the girl goes missing and events spiral out of control from there .

The film shines as soon as it moves to the pub. The editing and Russ Williamson’s role as matchmaker add vitality and humour to the story. The film opens with a sweep-through of Ava’s room, every corner of it carrying evidence of her long search for someone compatible and something steady. Books, pamphlets, and for the evening awaiting her, a bed covered in outfit options. Ava, played by Baize Buzan, is timid and insecure, and trying on outfit after outfit to hide it. The horrors of dating are vividly brought to life in the opening scenes of Jean-Paul Ly’s short film.
Indie Shorts Mag is a publishing agency that works within the ‘short film circuit’. We review short films, documentaries, music videos and web series, amongst others. We stand out amongst the short film review sites for being multi-diverse & global in our platform and reach. Billed as a romantic comedy it tells the story of James Van Der Bexton trying to find a girlfriend using speed dating. The man is the type of idiot most women run a mile from. Not only is he annoying, he’s dull and lacks any charisma.
‘Infinity Pool,’ which is the new film from writer/director Brandon Cronenberg (‘Antivirus’),… Rosaline «The love story you know, the ex you don’t.» In-depth movie review, featured posts, and advertisements. Is about a speed dating evening that goes wrong with deadly consequences. There is a 75 character minimum for reviews.
There is some sort of sub plot involving memory loss and drug importation or something … I don’t know I’d lost interest by then. James is approaching his 30th birthday.
Unfortunatley we had to change the venue due to circumstances beyond our control. I’m sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the venue but really this feedback should be directed at them not us (we did not provide the drinks in plastic cups or the abysmal service!). It’s very sad to hear that even in this day and age people can judge others based on what they look like.
What you need to live your best life … It’s that time of year again — no matter if you’re dining with someone special or showing yourself some self-love on Valentine’s Day, there’s still time to plan a stupendous meal. Be sure to book soon to avoid being left heartbroken — or worse, hungry.
You can view the Sparked webpage here, where it describes the app as “video dating with kind people.” It also promises no public profiles, no swiping, no DMs, and that it’s free to use. The app will seemingly cycle people through speed video dates that last four minutes. It’s unclear how many video dates a person will go Booty Finder on per event, but the app says that if “you both have a great time” daters will then be scheduled for a 10-minute second date. After that point, Sparked suggests they can exchange contact information and stay in touch through Instagram, iMessage, or email. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review about our business.
It might be set among ghosts, but it’s definitely a game about people–how complex, interesting and quirky they can be. I had fun getting to know these freaks, and it’s almost impossible to go through this game without thinking, at least a bit, about the lives of people you know and love. Sparked would be the second dating product from Facebook.
